Greater Cincinnati Water Works

Description: Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) mission is to provide our customers with a plentiful supply of the highest quality water and outstanding services in a financially responsible manner. GCWW is a municipally owned water utility. We provide more than 48 billion gallons of water per year to more than a million customers. We serve the City of Cincinnati, most of Hamilton County, and parts of Butler and Warren Counties in Ohio and Boone County in Kentucky. Cincinnati water meets or exceeds all state and federal health standards for drinking water.

Hours of Operation:  7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. 

Facility Open to Public:  Our lobby at 4747 Spring Grove Ave. is open to the public for various activities (paying bills, obtaining permits).

Onsite Programs Available: Yes.  Tours of water treatment plant are available.

Offsite Programs Available: None.

Entrance Fees: None

Program Fees: None

Handicap Accessible: Yes

Teacher Training Workshops/Programs: No

Audiences: Tours are open to all groups; children in tour groups must be at least in the first grade.

Program Topics:  Drinking water issues

Free Teacher Resources: Yes, Safe Drinking Water Reports on water quality; Story of Drinking Water Activity Books for elementary age children.
