Description: The Newport Aquarium’s mission is to captivate, educate and advocate conservation. WAVE works in conjunction with the Newport Aquarium to educate visitors and students of all ages about marine life and the impact of supporting conservation projects in our communities. WAVE is the educational foundation of the Newport Aquarium and a designated 501(c) 3 non-profit organization comprised of The Finstitute, our educational programs, volunteer services, conservation projects and fundraising to support these causes. The WAVE Foundation provides educational curriculum and experiences for students of all ages, supports efforts of habitat and animal conservation and currently has over 300 dedicated volunteers. The WAVE Foundation serves as and is committed to: Welfare of Aquatic Animals and Natural Resources, Advocate for Conservation, Volunteer Pursuits and Educational Opportunities.
Hours of Operation: Open to the public 365 days a year from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., with extended summer and holiday hours to maximize visitor enjoyment. Hours are subject to change without notice.

On Site Programs Available: Yes. Programs include Behind-the-Scenes Tours, Overnights, Job Shadowing Program, Non-Education Pre-Booked Groups, and The Finstitute.
Offsite Programs: Currently the aquarium does not offer any offsite programs, this is something we hope to do in the future.
Entrance Fees: General Admission Pricing $17.95 Adults, $15.95 Seniors (65+), $10.95 children (ages 3 through 12), and Children 2 and under are admitted free. Note, prices are subject to change without notice.
Program Fees: Student (PreK-8) - $6.00, Student (8-12) - $7.00, One free chaperone for every 10 students, and Additional Adult $12.00. Note, prices subject to change without notice.

Teacher Training Workshops/Programs: Currently the Aquarium does not off any teacher programs but we are planning to develop programs in the future. Please visit www.NewportAquarium.com for the most current information.
Program Topics: All About Penguins, What You Otter Know, Surrounded By Sharks, Sea Turtles, Shell Shock, Wild About Water, Scuba Science.
Free Teacher Resources: Yes. Teachers or leaders booking a field trip to the Newport Aquarium receive a structured lesson plan with pre- and post-visit activities at no additional charge.
Community Service Opportunities: Many volunteer opportunities available at the Newport Aquarium including Exhibits Interpreter, Diver, Office Assistant, Husbandry Internship, Husbandry Volunteer, and Summer Naturalists.
